CHRISTIAN FAITH YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
The CFYF is composed of young people who are taking part in the ministry of God. Members have come from Christian Faith Churches in Real, Quezon, Sta. Maria and Pila Laguna and Crame.
It was established in late 1997 after CFC decided to take independence as it was a part of Christ to the Philippines for a long time. The church’s youth leaders have realized the need for a youth body to lead the ministry because of the growing numbers of its young members and so in the summer of 1998, the first youth camp pioneered by CFC youth from Crame was held in Baluti Island in the province of Quezon.
The youth camp was, through the help of God, a success because it had achieved its purpose in reaching to young people, believers and non-believers, to hear the Word of God, and for some, to receive salvation. Over a hundred young people and nearly fifty staff, counselors and pastors participated in the event that lasted for nearly five days of fun, games and worship. It was, for believers, a proof to non-believer attendees that indeed, Christian life need not to be boring, that salvation and fun could go together, for with the knowledge that an everlasting life awaits, brings genuine happiness.
That was the first CFYF Summer Youth Camp, but definitely not the last. The following year, another camp was held in Pila, Laguna (1998). Another summer youth camp in (1999) Sta Cruz, Laguna, (2000) Taytay, Rizal, (2001)…..to be continued
